Born in Havana, Cuba, Barbara Menendez-Kline, arrived in Miami as an infant and has made South Florida her permanent home. She has been in the real estate industry for the past twenty years and currently owns a successful mortgage company, which was established in 2000.
Barbara’s love for writing began as a child, but her dream of becoming a writer was finally fulfilled with her first novel, Concealed…Inside the Enemy. The story was inspired by a beautiful Arab television correspondent, who was reporting the war in Iraq and by the love she has for the men who fight to defend her country, the United States of America.
Concealed…Inside the Enemy was dedicated to all the brave men and women who lost their lives in the war and who are currently serving in Iraq.
Barbara is the single mother of two children and her passions are writing, poetry, and spending time with family in Weston, Florida. Her new novel, Lost Souls, will be released in the Summer of 2009.
